Struggle of Love and Truth

Another cartoon for the newspaper, though this one has the potential to be the final issue's cover page! I'll update later if they decided to go with it.

This cartoon has to do with the two organizations Narth (A religious group that attempts to 'rehabilitate' those with homosexual feelings) and LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning) and the people stuck between the two.

I personally believe that love, like faith, is a choice, and to try and force the parameters to which you are allowed to love upon someone is a cruel misuse of influence and power. Especially if you use the excuse of God to influence that decision, for that creates hate towards a loving and caring deity. And hate is like a river that over time will create deep harsh canyons of distance over the fickle seconds of time.
